Master Perteit is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and 6th Degree Black Belt in Karate, and has been leader of our club since 2019. He brings experience in multiple martial arts, including from his time at the University of Iowa with Master Nick Messersmith, and particularly from his training under Master Gregory Hamza Jaco in the Tornado School of Martial Arts in Chicago.

Mrs. Naso is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. She has been co-instructor with Master Perteit since 2019. Her true passion is in teaching the Beginners Class and seeing her students grow and mature, gaining skills in both the dojang and outside, and becoming confident in the practice of the sport. If you want to impress her, make sure you have the proper foot position when you stick that front snap kick!

Doctor Master Whalen is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. He joined our Club with his family in 2017 and has since become one of our most reliable sources of up-to-date WTF/Kukkiwon technique, and creative motivation. A student of Grand Master Yong Chin Pak at Iowa State University, Master Whalen also serves as our link to the Pak Martial Arts Family of the State of Iowa.
